MainStreet Newspapers, Inc.

Scott Buffington is co publisher of MainStreet Newspapers, Inc. which publishes five weekly newspapers, The Banks County News, The Barrow Journal, The Braselton News, The Jackson Herald and The Madison County Journal. He is also co publisher of Braselton Today magazine. MainStreet Newspapers also operates a commercial printing plant, located in Jefferson and hosts a group of community web sites. He is a graduate of Jefferson High School and the University of Georgia.  He is a past president of the Georgia Press Association. He also serves as a board member of the 96th Infantry Division Deadeye Association. He is a former board member of the Crawford W. Long Museum and the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a leader of Boy Scout Troop 158 in Jefferson since 1997. He also is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He is married to the former Wendy Kesler of Nicholson, Georgia, and has four children and five grandchildren.
